To relax my favorite things to do is discovering the "Treasures of the Past".  I have always been very interested in my family history ever since I was a little girl.   I have, among others, have been saving the church and family history in the community that I grew up  at called Highlonesome, near the Douglas and Christian County line, in Missouri.
I am working on many other families in southwest Missouri.  For more information on my history and picture projects click on next.

I hope that you will find some of the research tools helpful in your search for your treasures.  For those of you who aren't related.  I hope that you find some of my links useful and enjoyable.   I have tried to include things that helped me in the beginning of my search and links that I use quite often.  Your input would be greatly appreciated.  I am very interested in saving our family history and would "Treasure" anything that you are willing to share.

              Hold fast to your memories,
to all of the cherished moments of the past,
to the blessings and the laughter,
               the joys and the celebration,
                  the sorrow and the tears.
They all add up to a treasure of fond yesterdays
that you shared and spent together,
and they keep the ones you loved
close to you in spirit and thought.
